How do I wash period underwear?

Washing is simple. First, rinse the underwear in cold water until the water runs clear. Then machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle (a wash bag protects the fabric) or hand wash with mild detergent. Finally, air dry it — hang or lay flat.

Avoid bleach and fabric softener, which damage the absorbent and wicking layers, and skip the tumble dryer and ironing, which shorten the product's life. Done right, a pair stays effective for two years or more.
